San Angelo-- Last Game

Hey everybody! Sorry I forgot to post something last week. This week we play san angelo central. They are 0-9 but we are going to play them like they are 9-0. They have some talent and if we dont shut them down quick they might get ahead of us. But thats not going to happen. We are going to go out there and have a blast but still kick butt while we are doing it. Thanks for all of yalls support this year. It has been a great ride and I loved every second of it. Wish us luck tomorrow!

Midland High

We play Midland High tomorrow. They are a pretty good team but if we go out there and play as hard as we can we can hang with them. We have been down a little bit lately but all we need is a little confidence boost and we will be fine. Thanks for all the support this season.

First District Win!!

We played lubbock high on thursday and we won! We started kind of slow, just like last year, but we were able to pull ourselves together and start rockin. It was great that we won because it was our homecoming and no one wants to lose on homecoming. We knew we had to put them away and not give them any hope because if they had some they had the skills to take the lead. We did put them away though and made sure they had no hope. We play lubbock coronado this friday and try for another district win, because it felt great to get one!

Rebels vs. Rebels

Today we play the midland lee rebels in midland. We have worked really hard over the past two weeks and are really excited to get to travel somewhere and play. Lee has a crazy offense and a pretty good defense but we have a really good game plan and I think we can stop them. Wish us luck and a safe drive!

Odessa High

Tonight we played the Broncos. They are alot better this year than they have been in the past two years. We started out slow and they got a big lead on us but at half time our coaches gave us a challenge to pour everything we had out and that is what we did. We came back from a 37-14 game to a 45-35 game. We were so close to winning but it just got away from us. Next week we have to Midland Rebels. Wish us luck!!

Bell Street Campus Week!

Tomorrow the Tascosa Rebels play the amarillo high sandies for the 50th time. It is going to be a huge game and there are going to be a ton of fans there. We have been working all week on bell streets plays and formations and we feel confident that we can beat them.

This game is always different from any normal game however. Its hard to say that we will dominate them because this game is always a close game, it has been every year we have played. We are going to put on a great show for all of our past Rebels and for the future ones as well. Come out and watch us, but you might want to bring an umbrella. And will somebody please leave me a comment? :)

Monterey Week!

Tomorrow we play lubbock monterey. This is the first time in a while that the Tascosa Rebels have a chance to totally dominate the plainsmen. In years before this they had huge O and D linemen and very fast skill players, but this year is a different story.

Their linemen are not very big at all and there skill players are average at best. Now don't get me wrong, they are still good. They have a very fast quarterback and some good recievers, but they are not the greek gods they have been in the past ( joking about that last thing). We are still going to go out and play like they are the best team in the state of Texas because if we don't they will take advantage of us and beat us. But we have the talent, confidence, heart and fire in us to knock them off the running for the district champ spot.

We have been working on their favorite play, the midline, all week and have a great plan to stop it. Our coaches are amazing at breaking down other teams strengths and making it their weakness. We know their formation, we know their plays, and we know what we need to do to bring them down. Come watch us tomorrow night and see what im talking about. And to the plainsmen all I have to say is BRING IT ON! Thanks for the support of you fans and don't forget to ask questions and leave comments.

Hey everyone!

As you probably know by now my name is Chris Flores and I am a varsity football player for Tascosa. This is my third year on varsity and I am really excited to get this season rolling.

Tomorrow we play Palo Duro and I am pumped! Last year we expected them to just roll over and let us beat them and we were sure not to make that mistake again this year. They are a fast and aggressive team and we are going to fight our tails off the whole night to make sure they don't have any hope of winning.

We have been practicing for about a month and they have been one of our main focuses. I really hope you get a chance to come watch us play and see what we have this year. I am really excited about blogging and telling you about our season and what we are going through.

If you have any questions or anything I would love to answer them, though i might not be able to tell about any secret plays. Please don't hesitate to ask me questions by leaving a comment. I'm excited about any feedback you may bring.
